ABS Base Durafloor
With a sealed ABS plastic bottom, Clearwater Spas’ Durafloor sets the perfect base for long-lasting spa performance. Integrated directly into the structure of the spa, Durafloor elevates and protects internal components and the frame from moisture, pests, and weather. Our RTB insulation includes borates, which deter insects and rodents naturally. The base is vacuum-formed from a single sheet of 100% recycled ABS, with strength, durability, and a watertight seal. It is silicone-sealed and screw-bonded to the cabinet with an added insulated pedestal pump mount for added stability, while also offering noise reduction and optimal support during every hydrotherapy session.
Insulation With RTB
Proper insulation is as important to your spa as it is to your home. Providing an R-20 value, our Reflective Thermal Barrier (RTB) Insulation System harnesses all thermal gain from the pumps and the heater inside the spa skirting while reflecting the colder outside air away from the spa. This UL-listed insulation material allows the warmth from the pumps and heater to be reflected inside the spa cabinet, heating the spa shell and water. One of the most dramatic energy-saving insulation systems ever introduced to the spa industry, this quality insulation design makes all Clearwater Spas extraordinarily energy-efficient, saving you hundreds of dollars over the lifetime of your spa.
Sealing The Spa
At Clearwater Spas, we are dedicated to providing you with the absolute best spa by not cutting corners when it comes to innovation and design. Using the same 100% recycled ABS material that runs through our base, we install “L”-shaped supports underneath every spa shell rim to provide additional rigidity and a firm mounting point for our cabinets. The gaps between these supports are then sealed with high-density foam to effectively seal off heat loss from the top of the cabinet while increasing your energy savings.
Spa Shell & Ecospray
Clearwater Spas is a leader in eco-friendly hot tub design. We are the first to eliminate fiberglass resins and ozone-depleting materials in our manufacturing process. Our hot tub shells are made with a durable ABS-acrylic coating system, reinforced with steel mesh in high-traffic areas, and finished with our exclusive EcoSpray process. The result is one of the industry’s strongest, most sustainable shells that is engineered for durability, safety, and an environmentally sound hydrotherapy experience.
Systematic Plumbing
Our plumbing is designed for the best spa experience. Using smooth curves rather than 90° angles creates water flow with little resistance and almost no back pressure for better flow at each jet, with less energy used. The plumbing on every spa goes through up to 500 quality checks to be sure every connection is tight and properly sealed.
Multifunction Pump
The quiet-operating and versatile pump works continuously to filter 100% of your spa’s water up to 24 hours a day. This filtering cycle is completely customizable to suit your specific requirements. It is factory set to run automatically 24 hours a day. If you do not require such high-level filtration and want to save costs, you can contact your local Clearwater Spas dealer to adjust it.
Ergonomic Seating
Clearwater Spas engineers designed ergonomic seats to create the perfect hot tub mold. We do not use machines or robots to manufacture and cut seats. Instead, we are on-site during the design process and hand-build each seat. We want to give you 100% confidence that you will find the most comfortable seat for ultimate relaxation and enjoyment in your hot tub.
